About Us

American Martial Arts InstituteSince 1994 we have been teaching martial arts to the local communities. We network directly with local law enforcement and participate in community events. We feel that if we can educate the community about the different aspects of self defense they become less likely to become a victim. Over the past years we have promoted hundreds of students to black belt level. They have earned their black belt not just because of their physical accomplishments but because of their mental accomplishments as well. We offer classes that incorporate karate, kickboxing and jiu jitsu that allows us to defend ourselves from our feet, in close with the attacker, on the ground, from weapons and any situation that could occur in today's world. We have some of the most motivational instructors in the state. Our high energy classes make learning and working out fun. We put stress on the mental side of martial arts. Without the right attitude your aptitude can only carry you so far. Discipline, focus, control, concentration, integrity, coordination and confidence are just to name a few aspects that we teach on a daily basis.

Our black belt certified instructors have been teaching for over twelve years and have fully committed to making the best out of each and every student. We have been certified by multiple organizations and are accredited by Black Belt Schools of America and The Marital Arts Industry Association. Our positive reinforcement style of teaching creates an atmosphere that everyone enjoys. Your will never feel out of place. We have new students starting every day and we understand how nervous they might feel. We were beginners once too. Our instructors train every day on how to work with people of all ages. No matter what your experience is we can help you reach your goals, Whether it's to get a better body, just tone up, lose a few pounds, gain more confidence, relieve some stress or just to get out of the house.

One unique aspect of our academy is our Leadership Building System. Our goal is to "Build Leaders One Black Belt At A Time." Each and every person influences someone in their life. Some may even influence several people, even hundreds, or even thousands of people. Because we understand "influence" we use our own influence to bring out their leadership qualities in each and every student and put it to good use. A leader is simply described as someone who influences others; someone who has followers. It is our job to turn each student into a leader here at the academy, at home and at school.

We put emphasis on families training together. We have found that " a family that kicks together sticks together." This means that families who sign up together and go through the belts together become stronger because of the effort it takes to practice at home and support each other. It gives everyone a sense of pride knowing that they are doing it together. This is the best activity you can do as a family.
